Freedom Whale Watch, Fishing & Dive Charters is a business based in the pristine and calm waters of Hervey Bay and is owned and operated by a friendly and experienced couple who have lived in the Fraser Coast region for over 24 years.
The Freedom III vessel is very extraordinary, being previously owned by world-renowned documentary producer Ben Cropp, this 58ft catamaran is luxurious. From July until November the Freedom III will be conducting 3/4 day whale watch tours. You could see a wide range of marine life on these cruises such as humback whales, sea turtles, rare sea birds and even some dingoes! You will also have you every need catered for as we provide free morning and afternoon tea and gourmet tropical buffet lunch. Sunset Pearls is another tour that runs during the whale watching season. This tour departs the Marina at 4pm and includes a visit to Fraser Island Pearls, a complimentary beverage, an Australian fruit and cheese platter and hot snacks. The visit to Fraser Island Pearls will also include a pearl seeding demonstration and a chance to open your own pearl and create your own piece of jewellery. Outside the whale watching months (December to June) Freedom III is running a Day on the Bay Cruise. This cruise will be relaxing and informative, including morning tea and lunch as well as a visit to Fraser Island Pearls and the opportunity to open your own oyster to discover a Akoya Pearl up to $300 in value. A fantastic way to see the Great Sandy Straits you will also be able to spot marine life such as dolphins, dugong and turtles and admire the fantastic islands dotted throughout the Straits.
